Are you ready to make a real impact? The 2025 Humanitarian Innovation Hackathon invites university students from across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands to tackle some of the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. This weekend-long competition blends innovation, teamwork, and expert mentorship to develop practical solutions that can drive positive change. Participants will collaborate in teams to solve real-world problems related to humanitarian response, sustainability, and technological advancement.
Since its inception in 2019, the Humanitarian Innovation Hackathon has empowered students to address critical issues such as climate change-induced displacement, access to clean water, and digital solutions for sustainable development. The 2025 edition will take place in July, culminating in an awards ceremony on August 19. With $9,000 in total prizes, the event not only provides an opportunity to win but also a platform to turn ideas into action.
Open to undergraduate university students, the hackathon is designed for individuals who want to apply their technical and creative skills to real-world problems. Participants will experience an engaging, fast-paced environment where collaboration and innovation thrive.
